So apparently, having the baddest looking facemask in football wasn’t enough for Justin Tuck. Last year, the New York Giants defensive end made headlines with his six horizontal bar facemask. The custom job was built to keep fingers out of his facemask, when he suspected opponents of attempting to get their hands inside and yank his helmet, after word of a neck injury got out. Some called it ridiculous…some called it amazing. Regardless, after Schutt designed them for the public, it became one of the best selling facemasks of the year!
Now, he’s taking the ridiculousness to a new level, and anyone who dares put their fingers anywhere near his facemask this season is going to be picking them up off the turf! Tuck’s new facemask reduces the horizontal bars to five, but the 12 diagonal bars he adds more than make up for the loss. These cross bars turn Tuck’s facemask into a gloried cheese grater, or more accurately, a face fortress from which there is no return!
I’m not sure if these will be available for purchase by the public, but as soon as they are, I’m getting one just to wear around the house! What do you think?

i have a schutt air advantage large if i was to buy a large vengeance facemask would it fit? becasue schutt air xp and advantage fit the same facemask and the vengeance can fit a schutt air xp facemask wouldnt a schutt air xp fit a vengeance facemask also?

Sorry for the late reply, as I was out of the office for the holiday. In answer to your question, unfortunately no. Although an XL Air XP facemask technically can fit on the Vengeance helmet, it doesn’t work the other way around. The Vengeance facemasks are specially designed, and can only fit on the Vengeance helmet shell.
How can I pre-order this
We have them up on Sports Unlimited right now for pre-order! So simply find the style you like, either the Big Grill 2.0 DNA or Big Grill 2.0 Super Pro, choose your color, and place your order as you normally would. As soon as we receive the facemask in stock in December, we’ll ship it right out to you! We also are bringing in the Aqua Tech custom colors, and XL sizes of the new Big Grill, so be sure to check those new facemasks out too!
Did you any of these in yet
We’re waiting on a shipment from Schutt, that we’re hoping to receive in the next week or so. But as soon as they come in, I’ll have them on our site, ready for order, and be sure to post about it right here on the SU blog!
Will they be available for the Vengence?
For the time being, all specialty facemasks from Schutt, including the new Tuck facemask (also called the Big Grill 2.0), will only be available in DNA and Super-Pro versions.
Do you guys have this facemask in black yet
We are expecting a full shipment of Big Grill 2.0 facemasks (the new Tuck facemask) by mid-November at the latest. We’ll be getting in Black, Gold, Gray, Navy, Royal, White, and Scarlet facemasks, as well as these really cool Schutt Aqua Tech colors, that give your facemask a tiger-stripe, multi-color pattern style. We’re getting in DNA and Super-Pro style facemasks, and I’ll definitely be writing a post about them as soon as they come in!

Thanks for the comment Troy! These new facemasks are actually in production now, and we’re waiting to get them in stock a little later in the season. Typically, we don’t order in brown facemasks, but if you’d like to give our customer service department a call at 1-800-693-6368, they can definitely special order you one as soon as the facemasks come back from production.
